What is Neon?
Neon is an independent film production and distribution company headquartered in New York City, New York, U.S. It is behind such projects as Parasite, Triangle of Sadness, and Anora.

2017 – present

The original Neon logo features the company name in a bold sans serif type. All the letters are capitalized. The way the logo looks onscreen is inspired by the classic neon signs and is dominated by pink. The small gaps in the lines forming the glyphs create a dynamic impression.
One reason behind the choice of the neon sign style could be that this type of signage was extremely popular in the U.S. from the 1920s to the 1950s. Many of them were installed in Times Square. As a result, they allude to a specific era, when the film industry experienced rapid growth.

2022 – present

The primary black-and-white logo became heavier and simpler. Due to the new approach, the gaps in the lines forming the outlines of the letters disappeared, making the design easier to reproduce.

Font and color

The design draws inspiration from neon signs. The palette of the onscreen versions of the Neon logo combines bright colors and lighter shades used for highlights. The typeface is a heavy sans serif, providing excellent legibility.
