This logo shows the early version of the LDS logo. It is fully textual, yet it looks distinctive. The designer played with font size, split the name between several lines, and indented each line differently. Such an approach keeps the viewers interested and does not let a long inscription look boring or ordinary. All the letters in the name are capitalized to show the significance of the organization for its members. The inscription is printed using a classic, serif font. It has a refined appearance thanks to the characters’ balanced proportions and subtle contrast in stroke thickness.

1996 – 2019

The logo acquired a more modern, cleaner appearance. The use of different character sizes allowed to make an accent on the middle line that says “Jesus Christ”. It showed that the church makes Him the center of their teachings. They continued to use a classic black color palette and a font with traditional serifs for the inscription. These elements showed that they follow their beliefs diligently and try to adhere to original Christian concepts. It is also interesting to note that some characters connect, while others stand along, just like in the previous version.
