From World War I, the aviation industry got a new major player in the face of GE corporation. Massive production expansion came with World War II. The company brought a plethora of technological innovation along with the development of new designs of jet engines after the war and during the space race. It expanded into other sectors, commercial aviation being one of the prominent ventures, during the 1970s and 1980s. GE Aviation changed its name to GE Aerospace in July, 2022. The new name was meant to better reflect the company’s goal to diversify into areas besides aircraft engines. With operations in several countries, GE Aerospace maintains partnerships with major airlines, aircraft suppliers, and defense agencies worldwide.

2015 – 2022
The GE Aviation logo features a sleek, professional design. On the left, a circular blue emblem displays the iconic “GE” monogram, with stylized, flowing letters intertwined, representing General Electric’s long-standing heritage and innovation. To the right, the words “GE Aviation” are written in bold, uppercase blue letters, using a clean, sans-serif font that conveys precision and modernity. 2022 – Today
As the division changes its name, so did its logo. The design includes the well-recognized GE emblem along with the name of the aviation division. The first is a stylized, circular design with the letters “G” and “E” intertwined. For the name, the company used a sans-serif font somewhat similar to the one seen earlier. The color palette features a deep blue, which reflects the strong and influential position of GE Aerospace. Overall, the design conveys a sense of reliability, innovation, and expertise in the aerospace industry.
Font and Color
The logo features a modern, condensed sans-serif font with uniform strokes. Its clean, geometric design resembles Univers Cyrillic 57 Condensed Roman font.
The color palette creates a professional appearance thanks to the use of a deep blue in combination with a classic black. It also gave the logo a modern and clean look. Besides reflecting the stability and trustworthiness of the company, the blue stands for open spaces and represents both the sky and the sea.
