2015 – Today
The visual identity of the electronic retailer is modern and strong. The logo, composed of an enlarged emblem and a wordmark under it looks masculine and evokes a sense of professionalism and reliability.
The Geekmall emblem is a stylized image of the Power button — an open circle with a vertical line going up from the center. The dark gray and red color palette of the emblem is replicated in the inscription and symbolizes the strength, energy, and passion of a large e-commerce platform.
The previous design of the company’s visual identity also has a power button in its core, but it was placed horizontally, resembling letter “G”, and colored in gray, while the nameplate used both gray and yellow colors, reflecting the progressive and innovative approach of the platform.
Font
The wordmark of the current logo is executed in two different styles. “Geek” in a bold modern sans-serif typeface, which is close to Bronkoh ExtraBold font, but with the “G” slightly modified. And a thin light “Mall” in the lowercase, written in the sans-serif, which is similar to Broadside Light.
The combination of two typefaces is very well-balanced and looks contemporary and confident, especially in the mix of red and gray colors, where bold red is placed in the left from thin gray lines.
